VIETREND TRAVEL HONOURED TO ATTEND “BEYOND 70” – CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF MELIÁ HOTELS INTERNATIONAL

Vietrend Travel was honoured to attend “Beyond 70”, a special event celebrating the 70th anniversary of Meliá Hotels International, one of Spain’s most renowned international hotel and resort groups.

More than just a gathering for travel industry partners, the event was an opportunity for Vietrend Travel to reconnect with colleagues and partners who have accompanied Meliá throughout its journey, reflect on seven decades of achievements, and discover the brand’s vision for the future.

 70 YEARS – A REMARKABLE JOURNEY

Founded in Mallorca, Spain, Meliá Hotels International has spent 70 years growing its presence and establishing its reputation on the global hospitality map.

The year 2026 marks this special milestone for Meliá. Today, the group boasts a portfolio of hundreds of hotels worldwide and continues to strengthen its presence in the premium and luxury segments, as well as in destinations with strong development potential.

In Vietnam, Meliá has continued to expand its footprint through a diverse portfolio of brands and resorts in prominent destinations such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, Ho Tram, Nha Trang, and Cam Ranh.

This growing presence also reflects Vietnam’s increasing importance in Meliá’s development strategy across the Asia-Pacific region.

 BEYOND 70 – CONNECTING, CELEBRATING AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE

At the event, representatives of Vietrend Travel had the opportunity to meet and connect with the Meliá team, business partners, and fellow professionals from the travel industry.

The programme was thoughtfully organised, from the check-in area and brand displays to networking activities and the evening reception.

The event also provided a wonderful opportunity for Vietrend Travel and its partners to share professional experiences, strengthen connections, and exchange insights into emerging resort products, particularly as Vietnam’s tourism market continues to grow.

 FROM FAMILIAR BRANDS TO NEW DESTINATIONS

One of the aspects Vietrend Travel was particularly interested in was Meliá’s next phase of development in Vietnam.

Meliá continues to expand its portfolio with new projects while further strengthening its position in the premium hospitality segment. In 2026, the group is introducing new projects in Vietnam, including Meliá Serenity Cam Ranh and Meliá Aurea Nha Trang.

These are also among the properties that Vietrend Travel looks forward to learning more about, experiencing firsthand, and building connections with, so that we can bring customers even more quality holiday options.

The occasion was also an opportunity for Vietrend Travel to extend our congratulations to Meliá Hotels International on its remarkable 70-year journey, while expressing our appreciation to Meliá Vietnam for continually creating meaningful opportunities for industry partners to connect.
